Bee Breeding Workshop: Advanced Topics

What an incredible time in Australian beekeeping!  This new world order Varroa has created will push us to our limits and require our relationship with our honey bees and businesses to be stronger than ever before.  Are you ready?
 
Our December workshop will help get you there.  We will do a deep dive on honey bee biology and genetics and their interactions with the environment. 
 
We will specifically focus on bee breeding through systematic selection and the drone's contribution to genetic improvment.  
 
LOCATION: Benalla VIC area
 
TIMING: December 6-8, 2024
 
PREREQUSITE: For experienced beekeepers only.  Must either have a minimum of three years in a commercial setting or 10 years of beekeeping experience.  This is an ADVANCED COURSE.
