Artificially Inseminated Breeder Queens
Our breeder queens are artificially inseminated from our proven stock. We select for resilience, temperament, honey production and pest and disease resistance.
NEW IN 2026 commercially available breeding stock will be established in February of 2026 and will be available in from August for the 2026-2027 bee season.
We are excited because it means:
1. Every breeder queen will be established in their hives and be a minimum of 6 months old so we can make sure only the very best are sold.
2. Our spring is depressurised allowing us to take care of our operation, and get to grafting queen cells keeping bees out of trees (hopefully)
3. AI work will be done when drones are fat and happy making for better queens and breeding selection
Our preference is to sell breeder queens in nuplas 5 frame nucs in August and September but breeders will be available all season.
Please note: THESE ARE QUEENS FOR PEOPLE THAT RAISE THEIR OWN QUEENS- We are not selling production queens.

If you require shipping, we will contact you to make arrangements. Packing and postage may be charged separately if more than provided for in the estimate. Otherwise, pick up is in Benalla Victoria.
